Mail Online has some spectacular photographs of London in 1877. These pictures bring these people lost to history to life. Looking at them is almost surreal as they really seem to catch moments in time. They aren't simple portraits, or shots of people in the streets, but more like snatches of a their lives as they lived them.
Their clothes really stand out. Lots of layers of clothes, and baggy too boot.
Amazing stuff.
