Bobbing Blocks of Britain
Along the western coasts of Britain, and the rest of western Europe, strange blocks have washed ashore, made of rubber and stamped with the word "Tjipeter." Small rectangular blocks are actually rubber from a long extinct plantation in Indonesia and are roughly 100 years old.
They must likely are coming from a sunken Japanese merchant vessel that was sent to the bottom by the Germans in World War I. The vessel has recently been the object of salvage teams, and like as not, they've accidentally released the blocks.
